Impossible to escape it, electricity is in the era of time. A new series born in England will see the light of day in 2022: Supercharge.

Supercharge, the new electric series planned for 2022

This series, with a very modest name, will be based on a grid of 16 vehicles with an SUV look. The SC01 – such is its code name – should develop 670 HP or 500 Kw. To make the discipline spectacular, the races, with 15 rounds per weekend, will be contested on circuits less than a kilometer long with ramps allowing jumps more than 2,5 meters high.

Short races of six laps maximum with eliminations in each round.

The calendar will be made up of eight rounds in the four corners of the globe, in the heart of cities: three in Europe, one in North America, one in the United Arab Emirates, one in China and two in Asia. This is not the first time that a developer has embarked on this type of project. Some were born, others were stillborn.

As a reminder, Jaguar has also decided to put an end to its I-Pace Trophy, organized on the sidelines of the Formula E. Does Supercharge have a better future? For the moment, this project is too abstract to be truly credible.
