The Race Of Champions (ROC) will return to the snow and ice of Pite Havsbad, Sweden on January 28-29, 2023, following this year's edition at this venue on the frozen Baltic Sea, just 100 kilometers from the polar circle.

The ROC is a global motorsport festival where stars from different series such as the F1, the NASCAR, theIndyCar, The 24 Hours of Le Mans, WRC and World RX compete in identical cars.

With a history dating back to 1988, the Race Of Champions has taken place in different countries around the world, from Beijing to Paris, including London, Mexico City, Bangkok, Miami, Riyadh and Barbados. This year, in Pite Havsbad, it was the first time that the Race Of Champions took place on snow and ice.

Vettel, Häkkinen, Chadwick… The first names revealed

The Race Of Champions takes place over two days: first, the ROC Nations Cup (Saturday January 28, from 12 p.m. to 15 p.m. local time), where drivers are grouped into teams based on their nationality to attempt to win the title of “fastest nation in the world”. Then, on Sunday, January 29, from 12 p.m. to 15 p.m. local time, it's time for the Race of Champions proper, where all teamwork disappears in favor of a merciless fight for individual glory .

Johan Kristofferson, Jamie Chadwick, Mika Häkkinen, Sebastian Vettel as well as the duo Petter and Oliver Solberg have been confirmed. “I can't imagine a better place for my first race after retiring from Formula 1 than the Race Of Champions, explains Sebastian Vettel. This will be my 11th time attending, and I keep coming back because it's a special event, and so much fun. I don't have a lot of experience racing on snow and ice, so the learning curve was very steep in Sweden earlier this year – and I had a very pleasant surprise reaching the individual final against Sébastien Loeb. Now I can't wait to come back and give ROC style ice racing another chance and hope to help Team Germany win another Nations Cup title. »
