Never change a winning team. The Solbergs understood this expression perfectly. Title holders in the Nations Cup Race of Champions contested as a pair, Petter and Oliver, from Team Norway, had a perfect day to retain their crown.

Winners of the duel against Team France (Sébastien Loeb and Adrien Tambay) in the quarter-finals then Team Sweden (Johan Kristoffersson and Mattia Ekström) in the semi-finals, Petter and Oliver Solberg then defeated the All-Star Team formed by Thierry Neuville and Felipe Drugovich to sign their second Nations Cup victory.

However, the task did not look easy for the father and son who notably had to face a great Thierry Neuville, winner of his first 4 face-to-face matches of the day. Finally, Petter and Oliver Solberg did not tremble in the final, winning 3 of the 4 duels on the program.

On the list of winners, Team Norway joins Finland and France in the number of Nations Cup victories (2) but still remains far from Team Germany and its 8 coronations.

The competition will resume this Sunday near Pite Havsbad (Sweden) for the Race of Champions where there will no longer be a question of team since each driver will fight for his own account.
