Timo Scheider involved in the Mallorca Llucmajor circuit

The two-time champion DTM with Audi will be involved in the Mallorca Llucmajor circuit in the Balearic Islands, via the development of a new track rallycross and a performance center, to perfect the preparation of pilots on a physical and mental level, on the already existing complex.

The track will be designed under the direction of Hermann Tilke, the architect of the circuits F1, recruited to supervise aspects related to security. Construction should be completed by the end of 2017.

“Thanks to the warm climate, we are able to provide perfect testing and training conditions during the winter months, explains Scheider. And as a special bonus, we are not subject to noise restrictions so can continue driving until 22 p.m.

The interest this has already generated is impressive. Some suppliers to the automotive industry as well as people from the motorsport scene have already booked their first test drives. »

Scheider will not abandon driving this year, notably by committing to World RX with MJP Racing Team Austria and 24 Hours of Nürburgring with BMW.
