Travis Pastrana presents the 11th Gymkhana with the return of Subaru
If for you, the crazy videos of Ken Block sliding during the Gymkhana series are linked to the Ford Fiesta and Focus, that means you missed the beginnings of this phenomenon. Indeed, the first two episodes in 2006 and 2007 were based on Imprezas that were wiser than the 2020 version.
Indeed, the WRX STI is a monster developing 862 horsepower and pinned to the ground thanks to a mountain of aerodynamic appendages... except when it performs "jumps" of several tens of meters in height and length, including a jump at above a stream!
The inventor of the double back-flip in motocross Travis Pastrana took back control of this series with the approval of master Ken Block. The pilot of rally had fun on the streets of his hometown, Annapolis (Maryland), and reached a top speed of 150 miles, or 240 km/h!
