Andros-C1 Trophy: The grand slam for Dubourg

For the return of Andros Trophy in Serre-Chevalier (Hautes-Alpes), Jean-Baptiste Dubourg hit hard yesterday during the first race of the weekend. The DA Racing driver, who can count on the wise advice of Marcel Tarrès, winner several times on this track, was imperial throughout the day on Saturday.

Best time in qualifying heats, then in Superpole, the Girondin easily won in the final in the evening, also signing the best lap time and pocketing 66 points in the cumulative rankings.

Second in the final, Didier Thoral (Mazda 3) did not miss his debut in the premier category and ranks in the wake of the Renault Cutting-edge Clio. Olivier Pernaut (Mazda 3) completes the day's podium ahead of Jean-Philippe Dayraut (BMW M2).

The Toulouse driver lost big in the second qualifying heat, with contact damaging a hub carrier. Dayraut, however, retains control of the Andros Trophy before today's race, but with only four points gap over Dubourg. Benoît Tréluyer (Audi A1) finished seventh on Saturday.

In Elite, Christian Béroujon and Eddy Bénézet gave the BMW M2s a double in front of the Audi A1 of Nathanaël Berthon. Aurélien Panis won his first race of the year in the Andros Electric Trophy.
