World RX – Bakkerud beats Loeb in Sweden
Bad start yesterday, just like Petter Solberg (Citroën DS3 – PSRX) and Mattias Ekström (Audi S1 – EKS RX), Andreas Bakkerud (Ford Focus RS RX – Hoonigan Racing) reversed the trend this Sunday by first qualifying for the final stages before dominating his semi-final against Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208 – Team Peugeot-Hansen).
The duo will also liven up the final since the Norwegian will win after resisting the attacks of Timmy Hansen, who will finally give up his second place in the last moments to his teammate Sébastien Loeb. Anton Marklund (VW Polo – VW RX Sweden) and his teammate Johan Kristoffersson follow in the standings ahead of Mattias Ekström who takes sixth place in the Final after encountering mechanical problems, but retains control of the championship.
Petter Solberg and Davy Jeanney (Peugeot 208 – Peugeot Hansen Academy) were unable to reach the final. In Euro RX, Kevin Hansen won the final ahead of Fredrik Stalsen and Tommy Rustad and consolidated his lead at the top of the general classification. Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Peugeot 208 – Albatec Racing) was eliminated in the semi-final.
