World RX – Jeanney shifts gears

Currently fourth in the World Championship rankings Rallycross, Davy Jeanney has placed itself as a sure bet for the 2015 edition. A few hours before the first clashes on the track Lohéac in Brittany, for the ninth round of the World RX, AUTOhebdo looked back on the career of the 28-year-old driver.

After having cut his teeth at national and European level, Davy Jeanney is today official driver of the Team Peugeot -Hansen. Already victorious in two events this season at Estering in Germany and in Canada at Trois-Rivières, the native of the Tours region is aiming higher.

“I absolutely wanted success this year. But when you have two, do you necessarily think about the third? I would like to make a podium at the championship ? Beyond that, I hope to continue the adventure with Peugeot-Hansen in 2016…” he confides to AUTOhebdo.

Ambitions possible thanks to this official seat won for 2015. At the wheel of the Peugeot 208 Supercar from the team led by Kenneth Hansen, Jeanney believes he has reached a milestone. “I allow myself things that I didn’t allow before. In the past, I managed the mechanics, I didn't go into too much contact to preserve the bodywork.

Now, without being violent, I don't use coal anymore. » Enough to aim for success this weekend at home, a victory which would be of special importance for the Frenchman, just as for Peugeot.
