World RX – Montalegre extended to the calendar

The Montalegre meeting will remain present in World RX for the next 5 years. The promoters of the Portuguese circuit have extended their contract with IMG, the organizing company of the World Championship of Rallycross, at least until 2022.

“The organizers of the Montalegre RX have done an exceptional job over the last 12 months to meet the standards of a World Championship, said Paul Bellamy, director of IMG. We have noticed major changes to the infrastructure including an expanded paddock, new stands and spectator areas, a larger press room and a new medical center. »

“The team also worked on promoting the event in the north of Portugal. The future of Montalegre looks very promising with excellent weather this weekend and full spectators last year”, added Paul Bellamy.
