World RX – Peugeot has “a good feeling” with Trois Rivières

The team Peugeot -Hansen will travel to Trois-Rivières (Canada) this weekend in the hope of achieving a performance similar to last year when Davy Jeanney won in the final, even if the Frenchman will not be on the trip. The Franco-Swedish team is still looking for its first victory this season even if its regular results allow it to be in second place in the Championship, 32 points behind EKS.

“We were very successful last year. Davy Jeanney won in the final with Timmy who was brilliant during the qualifying heats, underlines Kenneth Hansen, Team Principal. We have a good feeling going into this event. We know that the performances of other teams have increased this season. We must therefore focus on the future objective and reflect on the lessons learned in Sweden, during the last race. We have been testing recently and we are confident we can fight for victory. »

Sébastien Loeb will have the top three in the Drivers’ ranking in their sights. The nine-time champion of WRC, who is in his first full season in World RX, is four points behind third place Andreas Bakkerud (Hoonigan Racing Division) who was undefeated in the last two events at Hell (Norway) and Höljes (Sweden).

“As for the track, it will be a total discovery for me, like almost every time this year, confides the former Citroën driver. I know that there is the longest straight of the season and low walls that are very close to the trajectory… I will try not to run into them! »

As for Timmy Hansen, the Scandinavian will seek to get closer to his teammate who is ahead of him by 20 units.

“I really like going there. It's a very nice event. The track is built from a city circuit and the organizers work well. They managed to create a good track which is really in the spirit of the World Championship. I can’t wait to go back, especially as our Peugeot 208 WRX is very fast and we have a very responsive team”, assures the Swede.
