World RX – Timerzyanov and Baumanis join Stard

Timur Timerzyanov and Janis Baumanis will be the two spearheads of the Stard World RX Team, the new structure set up by Manfred Stohl. The former residents of Team Austria will still race on Ford Fiesta Supercars.

“I already participated in World RX in 2015 as a driver and quickly became a fan of the discipline, confided Manfred Stohl, now Team Principal of the Stard World RX Team. Le rallycross welcomes practically all kinds of drivers, from off-road to circuit, and the field is very diverse. »

Manfred Stohl was notably involved in the design of the Fiesta RXS operated by Team Austria after having evolved in the Austrian structure two years ago.

“We will enter two Ford Fiesta RXS Evo 3s, the basis of which is the cars produced and developed by Stard in 2015 and optimized the following year for Team Austria. Our engineers have worked intensively to add an evolution to the 2017 version of the Evo 3 and with Janis and Timur we will have two sizes in rallycross”, added the former pilot of rally Austrian.

The MJP Racing Team Austria will evolve this year with Kevin Eriksson and Timo Scheider.
