World RX – Timmy Hansen at the forefront in Barcelona

Timmy hansen is the strong man of this summer in the World Championship of Rallycross. The pilot of the 208 Team Supercar Peugeot -Hansen, crowned with two consecutive successes on the World RX stage, took the lead on the first day of the unprecedented Barcelona event in Catalonia.

On a route taking part of the circuit F1 from Montmelo, the Swede won the first qualifying heat before finishing 6th in the second, sufficient results to beat Mattias Ekström (EKS RX? Audi S1), fourth and second this Saturday.

Johan Kristofferson (Volkswagen Team Sweden? VW Polo) took third place ahead of reigning World Champion Petter Solberg (SDRX? Citroën DS3) who won the second qualifying heat. Less success for the moment in the French clan. Third in Heat 1, Davy Jeanney (Team Peugeot-Hansen? Peugeot 208) only took 21st place in Heat 2, and rose to 9th overall.
