WorldRX – Julien Fébreau takes on the World Cup

In addition to commenting on the F1 on Canal +, Julien Fébreau regularly puts on the gloves and the suit. Whether at Le Mans in Mitjet earlier in the season for the opening of the GT Tour, with a victory and good performances in the middle of the peloton, or in the French Championship of Rallycross where the journalist took a seat in a Citroën C4 Supercar for the first time, with a final victory at stake, pleasure often mixes with results. It is in Canada that we will find him this Friday in WorldRX.

“I accepted with great pleasure the invitation from my friend Dom Fugère, who organizes the event, especially since my friend Jacques Villeneuve will be present, explains the journalist. As I commentate on F1 with Jacques, we are very close and we wanted to spend a rallycross weekend together. It will be fun to put pressure on each other, even if we are not in the same category. » If the 1 F1997 World Champion will compete in WorldRX Supercar, Julien Fébreau will be entered in RXLites, the “one-design” category with cars equipped with the same 310 hp engine. It is within the Norwegian team Oslbergs, where Reinis Nitiss, 2nd overall in Supercar, is entered, that the Frenchman will evolve.

“I feel very lucky to join Ford Olsbergs MSE on this event. They are a very professional and efficient team, and I am sure that I will learn a lot from them. I had a good look at the RXLites and I must admit that I am very impressed. The level is high and it will not be an easy task for me to reach the performances of my opponents in such a short time. Whether for my personal pleasure or for my work, it's good to run regularly, because it helps me in my job as a commentator. World RX is fantastic and I'm very happy to return to competition after Loheac last year. Maybe it will be a good preparation for the 2015 season… in a Supercar! »

The Trois-Rivières round in Canada will take place tomorrow alone. So, see you at the first turn!
