WorldRX – Canadian stars at home in Trois-Rivières

The stands of the Trois-Rivières circuit in Canada will carefully watch the performances of their two local drivers, Jacques Villeneuve, lined up on a Peugeot 208 RX from Albatec Racing, and Patrick Carpentier, entered for the occasion in a Volkswagen Polo RX from Marklund Motorsport. The two Canadians behind the microphones, F1 on Canal + for Villeneuve, and for Rallycross for the RDS channel for Carpentier, will compete on Friday and the first qualifying rounds.

“It's always a pleasure to race in Quebec, and I'm delighted because not only do I have the chance to race in Rallycross but also in a Dodge Challenger in NASCAR, explained the former 1 F1997 world champion (the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix hosts several disciplines this weekend, Editor's note). Even though it's my home race, the rallycross track will be as new to me as it is to everyone else. I feel confident going into the race and can't wait to drive in front of our fans. »

Patrick Carpentier, former star ofIndyCar, and also passed through NASCAR (like his compatriot), will team up with Marklund with Anton Marklund, Topi Heikkinen and the presenter of Top Gear American version, Tanner Foust. Note that the debates will focus on Friday alone in Canada.
