Xavier Mestelan becomes technical director at the FIA

The FIA ​​has revealed that the man with 26 years of motorsport experience has been appointed Technical Director within the FIA ​​Sport division. He will take up his duties in the Federation's offices in Geneva in mid-April. He succeeds Gilles Simon, current Technical Director, who has chosen to retire but who will continue his cooperation with the FIA ​​as a consultant.

He will play a key role in deploying our forward-looking technical vision across a range of FIA championships, particularly in the area of ​​cutting-edge powertrain development.”
