The end of the 2021 season is already approaching for the French Historic Circuit Championship. The Historic Tour travels from September 24 to 26 to the legendary Charade circuit (Puy-de-Dôme) for the fifth and penultimate round of the calendar.

The program will be particularly rich with a whopping 23 races bringing together 318 drivers for 300 different cars! This deserved success can be explained in particular by the prestige of the Auvergne track, 3 km long and winding. This has retained a large part of the route used by the Formula 1 four times between 1965 and 1972.

In the middle of this busy paddock, two general classifications will be hotly contested. After the previous races in Albi, Dijon and Val de Vienne, Sébastien Mathieu (BMW M3 GTR in GT Classic) will arrive in Auvergne as leader of the GT/Touring category, which he leads in particular ahead of Damien Benjamin (Honda Civic, Youngtimers GTI Cup), Dominique Vulliez and Anthony Delhaye (Lotus Seven in the Lotus Trophy for both).

For his part, Lionel Robert (Martini MK48 in Formula Renault Classic) will defend his first place in the Single-seater/Protos category against his immediate followers, Matthieu Châteaux (Ralt RT3, F3 Classic) and François Belle (Lola T540, Formula Ford Historic).

To complete it all, a Dutch field, the YTCC (Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge) is added to the event, and will see prototypes, GTs, and touring cars from the 1970s and 1980s battling it out.

The event is open to the public at a price of 10 euros per day (free entry for under 15s) and 15 euros at the weekend upon presentation of a valid health pass.
