Apart from Monaco, France is the only country on the Formula 1 calendar to have a Historic Grand Prix in synergy with the Modern version. Preparations for the second edition scheduled for the Circuit Paul-Ricard (June 17-19) are well underway and should allow us to cover several decades of single-seater competition. What is the point of bringing together the Modern and Historical version on the same circuit?

Laurent Vallery-Masson: We have already gone on other routes. The Historic French Grand Prix aims to retrace the history of the F1. It was therefore logical to occupy the same place, in similar conditions. When Eric and I met, we immediately hit it off. It must be said that we are above all two F1 enthusiasts. This tandem seemed obvious to us to put together.
