The future of the old ones belongs to those who get up early. Scheduled for October 7 to 14, the 23rd edition of the Historical Tour of Corsica had opened its registrations on January 16.

Three categories of cars are eligible: VHC (competition) from 1947 to 1990, VHRS (regularity) from 1947 to 1990 and Légendes (without timing) since 1947. Like previous editions, the rally will offer a unique route of more than 1000 kilometers. The program for the five days includes 18 special stages, some of which are used by the famous round of the World Rally Championship. That is approximately 380 km on closed roads alternating with 620 km of connections on the most beautiful roads on the Isle of Beauty.

The organizer expects crews from around ten countries. Among them, many gentlemen drivers and regulars of major historic races. But also former renowned professional drivers, some ex-champions and former winners of the original event, who helped make this rally a legendary event. Observed during the 2021 edition, the growing participation of young crews from modern rallying who have chosen the Tour de Corse historique to discover a different format and universe also continues to be confirmed.

On the occasion of the Rétromobile Show which will be held at Porte de Versailles in Paris from February 1 to 5, the organizing team of the Tour de Corse historique will be happy to welcome the media to its stand (1 L031) on Tuesday January 31 from from 19:00 p.m. during the Press evening. This meeting, which will see the presence of the Porsche 911 of the Alain and Sylvie Oreille crew, victorious in the last edition, will allow journalists to discover in advance the list of entrants and stage towns for the 23rd edition of the Tour of Historic Corsica, as well as the Corsica GT Tour event, around a tasting table dedicated to the treasures of Corsican gastronomy.
