Died on May 25, 1995 in La Ciotat (Bouches-du-Rhône)

Nowadays, Elie Bayol would certainly be one of those “Silver” drivers that LM P2 teams are fighting for: reasonably fast while still being able to help finance a team. After participating in the 1949 Marseille Grand Prix on a Bugatti 35, this Marseille mechanic began to distinguish himself in 1950 at the wheel of DB-Panhards Formula 3 (500cc Racers). Fourth and first Frenchman at the Monaco F3 Grand Prix
