Born April 17, 1986 in Geneva (Switzerland)

If he was born in Geneva and has dual nationality, Romain Grosjean is indeed a French pilot. By choosing not to plunge into the Renault adventure, buyer of the bloodless Lotus, in favor of a team Haas linked to Maranello, Grosjean made a risky bet on the future. And he was never afraid to take risks. This son of a Geneva lawyer grew up sportingly in France, distinguishing himself in karting (French ICA champion in 2001) before becoming Swiss Formula Lista champion in 2003, on the occasion of his automobile debut. He moved to FR 2.0 in 2004, placing 7th in the French championship with a victory in Dijon. Faithful to the Tatuus of the SG Formula team, he repeated in 2005 and won the title with 10 victories. Ninth in Macau for his debut in F3, he competed in the 2006 Euro Series on a Dallara-Mercedes of Signature Plus, but must settle for 13th place in the championship. It is then integrated into RDD (Renault Driver Development). The following year, he was crowned within Frédéric Vasseur's ASM team, still on Dallara-Mercedes. Logically, it is with ART Grand Prix that he begins at the higher level. GP2 Asia champion with four victories, he finished 4th in the GP2 Series with two successes (Istanbul and Spa) and became a Renault test driver F1 Team. Promoted to 3rd driver in 2009, he continued in GP2 with Barwa
