Total Look Rally – La Dolce Vita imagined by SRO

SRO Motorsports Group has further ideas. The second excursion of the Vendôme 80 brought together, at the end of summer, anonymous collectors as well as renowned pilots attracted by a journey through time (see Ah n°2329) between Paris and the castles of the Loire Valley .

Forgetting the stopwatch, all that mattered was the desire to relive the carefree decade of the 1980s through an outfit competition and a bucolic route annotated in a road book.

Building on this success, Stéphane Ratel and Valérie Guillon asked the participants if a trip to the 1960s in a region bathed in sunshine would be worthy of interest. The response was unanimous and the next Total Look Rally will take up residence in Italy, from May 6 to 8, 2022. The theme chosen is “La Dolce Vita”. A landmark film directed by Federico Fellini in 1960, the expression has since passed into everyday language and brings with it the clichés of small convertibles built by Alfa Romeo and Fiat at that time. That's good, cars produced between the end of the 1950s and the beginning of the following decade will be accepted, from the Fiat 500 to the Ferrari 275 GTB4. Foreign brands will be able to circulate; the owners of Renault R8 Gordini can already warm up the engine.

If you do not have a car eligible to participate in the Dolce Vita 60, don't panic: SRO will offer rental packages for the event. As in each edition, a Total Look competition will be organized with prizes for those offering the most beautiful references to the decade, which involves a mix including outfits, accessories, cars and music. There will also be rewards for selfies taken during the trip, with extra points for style, artistry and fun. An elegance competition will highlight the most beautiful cars and an evening – inevitably centered around the sixties – will be organized on Saturday. In addition, part of the entry rights of the rally will be donated to the Alzheimer Research Foundation.
