Asian LMS – Oak Racing takes pole at Sepang

Ho Pin-Tng took his second pole of the season at the 3 Hours of Sepang (Malaysia) by setting a time of 1'56"875 in the Oak Racing Morgan-Judd. The LMP2 with the number 1 has ahead of only a tenth the Eurasia Motorsport Oreca 03-Nissan driven by James Winslow.

Jonathan Venter was able to set the CN benchmark with a time of 2'04"687 in the Craft-Bambbo Racing Ligier JS 53 Evo, despite fuel pump problems encountered the day before during testing. Team Avelon Formula also had to miss the first practice session due to engine problems, but Sean Hudspeth was nevertheless able to place within two tenths of the category benchmark in the Wolf GB08.

In GT, it was Marco Seefried who was responsible for setting the benchmark time with a time of 2'05"078 at the wheel of the No. 4 BMW Z92 of Team AAI. Tatsuya Tanigawa's sister car #91 follows just three tenths behind. There Mercedes The team's SLS AMG GT3 follows in third place.
