The 12 Hours of Sebring were decided until the last hour of the race where the Cadillacs of Chip Ganassi and JDC-Miller MotorSports competed for victory thanks to Earl Bamber and Richard Westbrook. A battle in which traffic played a key role since the New Zealander clashed with a backmarker while he was at the head of the race, under pressure from the driver of the no. 05. The Kiwi did not leave too far and without too much damage behind the Briton. The latter found himself stuck behind a GT and the CGR driver took the opportunity to regain his property. The defending team played their part by sending Tristan Vautier onto the track for the last minutes, without success. Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn and Neel Jani, last minute replacement for Kevin Magnussen, therefore win this 70th edition. Cadillac scored a hat-trick with third place for Whelen Engineering Racing.

In LM P2, PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports largely won with the #52 of Ben Keating, already second in the 1000 Miles of Sebring in GTE Am the day before, Mikkel Jensen and Scott Hufaker. Racing Team Nederland (Frits van Eerd, Giedo van der Garde, Dylan Murry) finished more than one lap behind. PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports places another car on the podium, the #11 of Steven Thomas, Jonathan Bomarito and Joshua Pierson. Sean Creech Motorsport's Ligier JS P320 won the LM P3 category.

Beaten in WEC, Corvette took its revenge in IMSA by winning the GTD Pro category. Antonio Garcia, Jordan Taylor and Nicky Catsburg in the #8 C3.R beat the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of Italian trio Marco Mapelli, Andra Caldarelli and Mirko Bortolotti. The Lexus RC F GT3 of Vasser Sullivan (Jack Hawksworth, Ben Barnicoat, Aaron Telitz) slowed in the final minute, giving the final podium spot to Mercedes-AMG GT3 from WeatherTech Racing by Cooper MacNeil, Jules Gounon and Maro Engel.

Barely the day before in the World ChampionshipEndurance, Ferrari despite everything, leaves Super Sebring with a victory in GTD thanks to Cetilar Racing. Robert Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotti and Antonio Fuoco beat Gilbert Korthoff Motorsports' Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Daniel Juncadella, Mike Skeen and Stevan McAleer.
