GTP
- Sent behind the wall for repairs due to a problem with the left side drive shaft, the Porsche 963 No. 85 from JDC-Miller MotorSports will not return to the track. This is the first retirement in the GTP category since the start of the 12 Hours of Sebring.
- The second came shortly after with the spectacular accident of Pipo Derani. While he was taking off at the head of the 12 Hours of Sebring, the Brazilian got involved with the Ferrari 296 GT3 n°21 of AF Corse driven by Miguel Molina. The race leader lost control of the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac V-Series. The prototype crashed into the wall of tires before turning over. The driver got out of the car and is fine. Felipe Nasr (Porsche n°7) inherited the lead of the event 4h30 from the finish under Full Course Yellow.

The race leader in the 12 Hours of Sebring got into the tire barrier and flipped. He walked away under his own power.

- The race was restarted with 4:11 remaining with the two BMWs in the first two places, after pit stops made under FCY. Jesse Krohn failed to maintain second position in the #24 BMW, but Maxime Martin managed to gain a slight lead over the firm's #25 propeller.
- The Belgian is pursued by Mathieu Jaminet (Porsche n°6), Ricky Taylor (Acura n°10) and Louis Delétraz (Acura n°40).
- The #7 Porsche lost a lot of time by returning to the pits a second time to adjust the seat insert.
LM P2
A Frenchman leads the LM P2 category with Tom Dillmann at the wheel of the No. 52 Inter Europol by PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports Oreca.
