Two pole positions in two rounds for Cadillac and Pipo Derani! After the pole position at Daytona, the Brazilian signed another great performance this Friday, to place the No. 31 Cadillac in pole position for the 12 hours from Sebring. He is ahead of another Cadillac, the No. 01 driven by Sébastien Bourdais, at the end of a session truncated by a red flag caused by Mathieu Jaminet. The pilot of the Porsche #6 lost control of his mount exiting the first turn and hit the wall head-on, ending his chances of pole.

Ricky Taylor thought he had clinched pole position with the No. 10 WTRAndretti Acura, but his time was canceled. The reason ? The team carried out too much work on the LMDh during the red flag, which is not authorized by the regulations. WTRAndretti saves the honor with Louis Deletraz's 3rd place in the No. 40.

LM P2

“Spike” took his first pole position in LM P2! The No. 99 Oreca of the AO Racing team took pole position in the category thanks to PJ Hyett, with a time of 1'52"142, ahead of the two United Autosports of Dan Goldburg (No. 22) and Ben Keating (No. 2). The LM P2 session ended prematurely due to a red flag, caused by Dennis Andersen (MDK by High Class Racing n°20): the Dane stopped in the middle of the track after a spin.

GTD Pro / GTD

Lexus and Vasser Sullivan dominated this qualifying session in the GT categories: Jack Hawksworth set the absolute best time in 1'58"714 with the No. 14 Lexus in GTD Pro, while Philip Ellis took pole in the category GTD with Mercedes No. 57 from the Winward Racing team, victorious at the 24 Hours of Daytona last January. However, the latter was penalized after qualifying, leaving the pole of the GTD category to the Ferrari Cetilar Racing n°47.

The Top 3 is completed by the second Lexus of the Vasser Sullivan team, the No. 12 driven by Parker Thomson. Note that Sarah Bovy did not set any fast laps with the #83 Lamborghini Iron Dames due to a puncture and will start at the back of the pack, just like the four penalized Corvettes.
