1000 Miles of Sebring – H3: Alpine still ahead of the Toyotas, Ogier on the track

The third hour of racing at the 1000 Miles of Sebring ends with Alpine still in the lead ahead of the Toyotas. She also saw Sébastien Ogier start his first stint in Endurance on the 79th lap.

The crossover continues at the head of the race 1000 Miles of Sebring, depending on the pit stops. After the now traditional interlude of Toyota, Alpine regained first place with Nicolas lapierre driving. The pole-sitter has a large lead over Brendon Hartley and Jose Maria López, respectively 2nd and 3rd. The 007 LMH from Glickenhaus is now more than a lap behind.

In LM P2, United Autosports still dominates with the #22 of young Josh Pierson in first position in its category ahead of the #23 driven by Will Owen. Prema completes the podium of this third hour with Louis Delétraz

On the 79th lap, Lilou Wadoux brought the Oreca 07-Gibson of the Richard Mille Racing Team back to the pits to give way to Sébastien Ogier. The eight-time world champion WRC thus began its first stint in Endurance. He currently occupies 9th place in the category and 13th overall.

In GT, Corvette maintains its advantage over the Porsche nº92 and 91. Both Ferrari of AF Corse are more than one lap behind. On the AM side, theAston Martin Vantage AMR nº98 from Northwest AMR retains first position over the Porsche 911 RSR – 19 nº77 from Dempsey – Proton Racing and a second Aston Martin, the nº33 from TF Sport.
