Corvette Racing is complete. If Ben Keating and Nicky Catsburg were already known in the crew of the No. 33 which will run in WEC this season, the third man in the team was confirmed this Saturday January 14. This is Nicolás Varrone.

The young 22-year-old Argentinian has already had the opportunity to test the C8.R from the Detroit (Michigan) manufacturer during the 2022 post-season tests in Bahrain, but also at Sebring (Florida) in December. Last year, the driver from the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina) took part in the European Le Mans Series with Rinaldi Racing, winning in GTE Am during the 4 Hours of Le Castellet on a Ferrari 488 GTE Evo. He also participated in 24 Hours of Le Mans with Iron Lynx (17th in GTE Am), still on the same mount.

« I've driven other GTs, but the Corvette is one of the best feelings I've ever had in a race car, explains Nico Varrone. It's a natural racing car and made for it. The confidence it gives when cornering at high speeds, the traction and braking of the car are incredible. It suits me perfectly. I felt comfortable almost straight away. I expected it to be like other GT cars I've driven, but to me it feels more like a prototype. It's a huge sensation for the drivers. I have enjoyed every ride I have done so far. I can't wait to see more. »

Corvette will start the World ChampionshipEndurance of the 2023 FIA at home with the 1000 Miles of Sebring (March 17).
