Corvette in Portimão and Spa?

In accordance with what AUTOhebdo revealed to you in preview a fortnight ago, Corvette Racing could compete in the first two rounds of the WEC.

For what ? With the particular aim of establishing the fairest BoP for 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 12-13) but also in order to justify its invitation to Sarthe, the American entity would have been asked by the ACO to participate in two races of the World Championship ofEndurance.

Initially, the American team's focus was very logically on the 1000 miles of Sebring – for obvious logistical questions – and the 6 Hours of Spa. With the Florida event canceled, we could see a C8.R at the start of the 8 Hours of Portimão (April 4) as well as in Belgium. And who knows, we might even see a newly retired driver who has marked the team's history behind the wheel.

A presence made possible by the fact that theIMSA postponed the Long Beach and Laguna Seca rounds to September. No American series races are planned for the GTLM between March 20 and June 27! Hoping that this time, travel restrictions do not get the better of the long-awaited arrival of the C8.R on the Old Continent.
