Kubica says “no” to Endurance and Le Mans in 2018

The hopes of the many supporters of Robert Kubica are once again showered this season. After missing out on full driver status Williams en Formula 1, the Pole had in his sights a wheel in LM P1 for the Super-Season of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) within the Manor team.

However, the winner of the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix declined this possibility during a press conference organized by a sponsor in Poland on Thursday. “Both tests went well with the Ginetta G60-LT-P1, but the problem is time. I will only have a little free time (due to its obligations to reserve and development driver for Williams). »

“So, I decided not to participate in the WEC. Out of the last 45 days, I spent two days at home, I would love to run but I have to be rational”, indicates the former pilot Renault in F1.
Robert Kubica took part in two test sessions with Manor on the Motorland Aragon circuit (Spain) in February.
