The Performance Balance for the 1000 Miles of Sebring

The first Performance Balance of the season WEC was revealed. Thus, for the 1000 Miles of Sebring, Toyota sees the minimum weight of its GR010 set at 1 kg. This is four more than 24 Hours of Le Mans and 30 only for the double headers finale of last season in Bahrain. In terms of energy available for each relay, the Japanese prototypes saw the limit lowered to 898 megajoules (MJ). This was 962 at Le Mans and 909 for the Sakhir circuit. Among the competitors, the SCG 007 LMH from Glickenhaus remains at 1 kg for 030 MJ at each relay. The American team had 910 MJ last year. Finally, theAlpine A480 retains its 952 kg for 797 MJ.

Another point was reviewed for this first race of the year: the trigger speed of the energy recovered by the hybrid system of the Toyota Hypercar to allow it to switch to four-wheel drive will be increased to 190 km/h. This point will evolve from one race to another, in order to allow the ACO to have a new parameter to use in its Balance of Performance.

The Hypercar Performance Scale for Sebring

On the GTE side, Corvette sees the diameter of the C8.R air restrictor reduced to 42,3 mm. He was 43,5 at Spa and 42,7 at Le Mans for the American manufacturer's two races in the World Championship last year.
