Le Mans – Toyota maintains the advantage in warm-up

Kazuki Nakajima was responsible for establishing the benchmark in the warm-up in the No. 8 Toyota, preceding the No. 7 of pole-sitter Kamui Kobayashi.

Le Mans – Toyota maintains the advantage in warm-up

Kazuki Nakajima waited for the end of the warm-up 24 Hours of Le Mans pour signer le meilleur temps de la séance en bouclant un tour en 3’18’’308 au volant de la Toyota n°8. Le Japonais a précédé de 3 dixièmes son compatriote Kamui Kobayashi on the No. 7, the latter being the author of the pole with a time of 3’14”791.

Porsche était en tête à quelques minutes de la fin, mais la 919 Hybrid n°1 de Nick Tandy doit se contenter de la 3e position à 1’’8 de la première TS050 Hybrid. La LMP1 allemande devance la Toyota n°9 de Stone-Kunimoto-Lopez.

In LMP2, Alex Lynn was responsible for setting the best time in the category with a time of 3'27''096 achieved at the wheel of the No. 07 G-Drive Racing Oreca 26. The Vaillante Rebellion are the closest with more than 2 seconds behind, the n°31 of Cheers-Senna-Canal ahead of the n°13 of Piquet Jr-Heinemeier Hansson-Beche.

Enzo Guibbert encountered an accelerator pedal sensor problem on the #07 Graff Racing Oreca 39, but it was Idec Sport Racing which had the most complicated test session with Paul going off the track Lafargue at the wheel of the #217 Ligier JS P17 at the Porsche corners. The LMP2's nose was damaged after contact with the rail.

 

 

The GTE crews did not encounter any major problems during warm-up. Only Romain Brandela spun on the Larbre Compétition Corvette.

Ryan Briscoe was responsible for setting the benchmark time for the GTE Pro with a time of 3'51''789 achieved at the wheel of the No. 69 Ford GT. Kévin Estre was the closest with less than a second behind the Porsche n°92 which precedes the three other Ford GTs. The first one Ferrari, the No. 488 F82 of the Risi Competizione of Vilander-Fisichella-Kaffer, ranked 6th. Corvettes and Aston Martin are further behind.

In GTE Am, it was Andrea Bertolini who set the best time with a time of 3:55 in the #575 DH Racing Ferrari.
