Nathanaël Berthon joins Rebellion Racing

As we announced to you on Monday evening in issue 2200 of AUTOhebdo, Nathanaël Berthon will join the Rebellion Racing to compete at the end of the 2018-2019 season WEC and will also be involved in all the events of the 2019-2020 campaign.

Having completed the WTCR last year with Comtoyou Racing, the former GP2 Series driver will return to a complete endurance program, the one we saw in ELMS in 2015 at Murphy Prototypes then 2017 at Panis-Barthez Compétition, not counting his participations in 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Berthon will ride on the R13 n°3 and, as we mention in issue n°2200 of AUTOhebdo, should replace the Swiss Mathias Beche, even if the Swiss team has not officially indicated anything. Gustavo Menezes and Thomas Laurent are the other two residents of the LM P1 operated by Rebellion Racing.

“The prospect of participating in the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice, in 2019 and 2020, with a team and a car going for the win, is extremely motivating for me, says Berthon.

Rebellion's ambitions are very great, and being part of this project represents great pride and a strong responsibility. I want to thank everyone who made this possible. I can't wait to be at Sebring to discover the team, the R13 prototype and work alongside my future teammates. »

Berthon will discover his new mount during the 1000 miles of Sebring next March.
