Tom Brady had leaked the livery of the Porsche 963 from Hertz Tema JOTA. On an Instagram story shared at the beginning of January by the American football legend, we could see a large part of the British team's LMDh covered in a golden color and on which Singer and Brady appeared as sponsors.

The team of David Clark and Sam Hignett lifted the veil on this golden livery this Wednesday 1er March. “ As a team, we have demonstrated our ability to perform by signing 10 podiums during the last nine editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (in the LM P2 category. Editor’s note), declare the co-founders. I thank our new partners for their support, we are moving up to the Hypercar category and Hertz Team JOTA will be competing against some of the biggest car manufacturers in the world. We have a strong, experienced team and as one of the only privately owned cars in this class we will represent the spirit of Le Mans. We can't wait to get on the track. »

This golden livery was designated by one of the team's main sponsors, Singer. Created in 2008 by Rob Dickinson, former rockstar of the British group Catherine Wheel, this Californian company specializes in modernizing Porsche 911s. When it came to the livery, we wanted to honor both the past and the future, explains Dickinson. Growing up in the 1970s and 1980s, drivers like Derek Bell, Hurley Haywood and Jacky Ickx were heroes, battling for hours in machines capable of exceeding 300 km/h while winning races in the era of the golden age of Porsche. At Singer we have always been inspired by motorsport and, to mark the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this gold livery pays tribute to all those who have competed at the highest levels of endurance racing, from the first Hertz Team JOTA's campaign in the World ChampionshipEndurance of the FIA and the role of the Porsche 963 in the development of renewable fuels and hybrid technology. Spending time with this fabulous racing car gives us so much inspiration. We are looking forward to the first race. »

As for Tom Brady, it is through his eponymous clothing brand launched in 2021 that the seven-time Superbowl winner will be involved. “ I have been a huge fan of auto racing for a long time, and now being part of Hertz Team JOTA is an incredibly exciting opportunity. BRADY™ and Hertz are great brands that pride themselves on teamwork, with unwavering determination and experience, making them the perfect partnership. We are all looking forward to competing in the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans later this year. » The legendary quarterback's firm will provide the team with its clothes, whether they are made for travel, leisure or work.

To see the Porsche 963 “Mighty 38” on the track, however, you will have to wait until the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on April 29, due to delivery delays from the German manufacturer. In the meantime, it is with a second LM P2 that JOTA will present itself to the 1000 Miles of Sebring, opening round of the season on March 17, as well as at the 6 Hours of Portimão, on April 16. In Florida, António Félix da Costa will be replaced by the German David Beckmann alongside Will Stevens and Yifei Ye. In this category, the presence of a Silver driver is in fact required by the regulations.
