Grosjean eager to do battle in Austria

Forgotten this unfortunate collision with Will Stevens' Manor, while a superb fifth place held out his arms to him, Romain Grosjean is already focused on the next round of the calendar, which will see him compete in the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. “It’s a beautiful circuit that awaits us, explains the French pilot. Then the mountains, the fresh air that emanates from them, the setting, remind me a little of Switzerland. The route around the route is not very long but it really has character. It begins with a straight line of reasonable length, followed by an uphill portion where you can appreciate the power of its car. The braking for turn two is pretty nice, as we're still uphill, so we can jump on the brakes really late. There is a second DRS zone then, as well as some moderately fast corners and then we are back on the starting straight. »

If the Austrian stage of the championship had hardly smiled on the Lotus F1 Team in 2014, this year according to Romain there are reasons to hope for a good result, on the occasion of the return of F1 to Europe. “We have in our hands a much better car than last season, continues the former GP2 champion (2011). So we potentially have a lot more chance of doing better this year. In 2014, it was the first time in over a decade that F1 returned to this circuit, and we needed time to learn the circuit, get our finger on the right set-up, especially since At the time our car was experiencing a lot of technical problems. We never managed to get the most out of the tires, nor did we have the right brake package, not to mention that we were not spared from reliability concerns. So things will be really different this year, and I can't wait to get behind the wheel and attack hard on this track. »

First elements of response Friday morning with the start of free practice.
