Horner dreams of victory in Singapore

Red Bull started this second part of the season with a bang as the Taureau Rouge celebrated a double at Spa-Francorchamps and a second consecutive victory of Sebastian Vettel in Monza. Dietrich Mateschitz's team is now preparing to compete in the Singapore Grand Prix, with the Drivers' title in focus for the reigning champion. But Christian Horner is also thinking about winning the race, which would be a first for his team in this urban event.

The Red Bull Racing director is focusing on the Singapore track, which is completely different from the ultra-fast Monza layout. “Maybe we should ride without downforce, it worked well at Monza”, jokes Christian Horner. “It's a completely different challenge, it's the bumpiest and most difficult circuit on the entire calendar. This track requires great physical effort, especially with all the turns, more numerous than on any other circuit. »

Christian Horner does not hide his desire to include the Singapore Grand Prix in Red Bull's prize list, which would be an additional boon to win the Drivers' title if Sebastian Vettel wins. “This circuit requires a lot of support”, adds the director of the Austrian team. ?We finished in second place last year just behind Fernando Alonso. We haven?t won this race yet and I?d be really happy to put an end to it. The weather can complicate the situation. We ideally want the same result as in Monza because we have worked a lot on high downforce. »
