The FIA will summon the teams and Pirelli

The British Grand Prix was marked by a series of burst tires on the cars of Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa, Jean-Eric Vergne and Sergio Pérez. Several pilots including the pilot Mercedes spoke openly about an unacceptable situation endangering the safety of pilots. While the next event will take place next week at the Nürburgring, the FIA will organize a meeting this Wednesday with the teams and Pirelli to try to find a solution and ensure that this phenomenon does not happen again.

"I have a meeting with Pirelli officials who will obviously study all the incidents that have happened in recent days and who will come with urgent proposals and an important meeting with all the teams next Wednesday.", indicated Jean Todt, the President of the FIA, in the show Formula One, the magazine of the F1, broadcast on Canal+. “This is going to be high on the agenda. From the moment there are indeed security problems, it is up to us to make the right decisions. We must not respond emotionally. We must analyze things carefully and let the experts meet and as a result, this will allow us to make a final decision.
