It moves towards theAlpine Academy in this year 2022. After Oscar Piastri's promotion to reserve driver in F1, the appointment of Guanyu-Zhou in Alfa Romeo as a holder or even the departure of Christian Lundgaard at RLL Racing in IndyCar, the French team was forced to find new talents for its academy in preparation for this new season.
En Formula 2, the Blues will be represented on the track by two new members of the academy, namely Jack Doohan and Olli Caldwell. The first will race for UNI-Virtuosi, where Guanyu Zhou was last year, while the second will be with Campos after two seasons in F3, one with Trident and the other with Prema.

Martins and Collet pile back in with Alpine
At the lower level, Alpine decided not to make any changes. Back in the academy in 2021, Victor Martins will try his luck again in F3. Small difference, the Tricolore will no longer be with MP Motorsport but with ART Grand Prix. Caio Collet was also returned to the Blues. For his second F3 season, the Brazilian extended the adventure with MP Motorsport after his 9th place in the championship during the previous season.
