For a quarter of a century, his innovations nourished Ferrari's competition department, the most prestigious, frenetic and exposed in Maranello. Mdespite the weight of the years, Mauro Forghieri has lost none of his presence. Since his departure from Maranello in 1987, many others have succeeded one another at the head of technical management of the Scuderia, but none has managed to leave such an impact and for so long on the competition department of the venerable house. Even Ross Brawn, despite his six Manufacturers' titles and five Drivers' titles, could not make him forget as he was the incarnation of this Italian creative genius as splendid as it was excessive.

Born in Modena in 1935, young Mauro was a child of the ball.
