Ricciardo powerless against Hamilton

Daniel Ricciardo no matter how hard he tried, the Australian was unable to threaten Lewis Hamilton who won the Singapore GP. The pilot Red Bull finished in second place after having benefited from three interruptions in the race which allowed him to return to the exhausts of the Mercedes.

“I tried to impose myself but I couldn’t, regrets Daniel Ricciardo. We didn't have the speed of Friday, but I'm still satisfied with this second place. It was probably a good thing I had a bad start because I would have been caught in the collision. »

Daniel Ricciardo also had to keep his RB13 at the end of the race due to a mechanical problem.

“I felt good during the first laps in the rain, but later I realized that I was asking too much from the tires, explained Daniel Ricciardo. I couldn't make an impact on Lewis even after changing tires. The team asked me to keep the car and then told me I had a leak and was losing oil pressure in the gearbox. I obviously came to win, but second place is a great result and I'm not going to complain about it. »

Daniel Ricciardo maintains fourth place in the Championship, now having a lead of 24 points over Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), unfortunate pilot of the accident at the first turn. The Australian saves the Red Bull weekend as Max Verstappen also dismounted in the accident.
