Marco Wittmann was the fastest at the end of Friday practice for the Bathurst 12 Hour. The double champion of DTM completed a lap of the Mount Panorama circuit in 2'03''219, ahead of the Bavarian car of Max Twigg entered by Marc Cars Australia by 9 hundredths.
Christopher Haase placed the first Audi R8 LMS in 3rd place with the #74 Jamec Pem Racing 6 tenths behind the benchmark. The car at the Rings precedes the No. 488 Ferrari 3 GT88 of the Maranello Motorsport confiée à Toni Vilander et la Porsche 991 GT3 R n°12 du Competition Motorsports pilotée par Parick Long. Maro Engel followed in 8th position on the Mercedes AMG GT3 n°22 from Team STM / HTP Motorsport which beat the McLaren 650S GT3 from Alvaro Parente's Tekno Motorsports. Robin Frijns completed the top ten of the test day with the #75 Jamec Pem Racing Audi.
Nissan's day was disrupted by an error by Florian Strauss on the No. 24 which caused significant damage to the second official GT-R Nismo GT3.
