12 p.m. Bathurst – Toni Vilander takes pole

Toni Vilander took pole at the Bathurst 12 Hours with a time of 2'02''861 at the wheel of the No. 488 Ferrari 3 GT88. Maranello Motorsport. The 2014 winner of the GTE Pro category at 24 Hours of Le Mans was almost 2 tenths ahead of the #6 Marc Cars Australia BMW M3 GT90 driven by Chaz Mostert.

Marco Wittmann completed the top three in the #60 Team SRM BMW. Ashley Walsh was the last driver less than a second behind the benchmark on theAston Martin Vantage V12 n°35 de Miedecke Stone Motorsport. If Nissan was able to repair the GT-R Nismo no. 24 following Florian Strauss' crash the day before, it was the no. 23 which was damaged during the last tests following contact with the Katsumasa wall Chiyo.

At the end of qualifying, two crews had to withdraw. Ben Barnicoat damaged the #59 Tekno Autosports McLaren where Will Davison and Jonny Kane were also entered.
