24 Hours of Nürburgring – Porsche confirms its drivers

Double lauréate en VLN sur les deux premières manches de la saison 2017, Porsche ne cache pas ses intentions de bien figurer cette année sur le double tour d’horloge dans l’Eifel (27-28 mai) pour tenter de retrouver la victoire, la dernière pour la firme remontant à 2011 avec Bernhard – Dumas – Lieb – Luhr.

For these 24 Hours of the Nürburgring, the Weissach brand will put its trust in nine official drivers and two of its Young Professionals. Jörg Bergmeister, Michael Christensen, Romain Dumas, Richard Lietz, Frédéric Makowiecki, Patrick Pilet, Sven Müller, Laurens Vanthoor and Dirk Werner will officiate the six 911 GT3 R entered in Germany by Manthey Racing, Falken Motorsports and Frikadelli Racing

Mathieu Jaminet and Matteo Cairoli will also join the ranks of Porsche, both being lined up in the #12 Manthey Racing with Otto Klohs, and Robert Renauer.

The strong arm of Porsche will enter three cars, the No. 911 being entrusted to Dumas – Pilet – Makowiecki, winners in VLN 1 and who will be supported by Richard Lietz. The full breakdown of crews is as follows:
