The #2 Ferrari of Bartels-Bertolini-Hommerson-Machiels was excluded for failing to respect a penalty. Audi now leads in front of the #40 BMW of Martin-Leinders-Hennerici.

Louis Machiels committed an irreparable fault fatal to the Ferrari 458 n°2 of Vita4One who was fighting for victory. The Dutchman did not respect the drive-through imposed by the stewards, even though he only had three laps to observe his penalty. The Italian car, which was in second place behind the #33 Audi of Ekström-Franchi-Scheider, still leading the race, received a black flag in the 19th hour of the race.

The No. 40 BMW of Need For Speed Team Schubert therefore takes second place, while theAston Martin n°4 driven by Frédéric Makowiecki, Henri Moser and Stef Dusseldorp regains third place four hours from the checkered flag.

Six laps behind the BMW, the crew of the French team must maintain a good pace if they want to maintain the advantage over the Mercedes SLS AMG n°35 of Heyer-Jäger-Lemeret (Black Falcon), which is in fourth position two laps behind the Aston Martin.
