Alexandre Prémat (Audi Q4), satisfied with the new regulations of the DTM, can now compete with drivers equipped with latest specification cars. This Saturday, the Frenchman proved it during qualifying by setting the best time in Q1, the first phase of the qualifying session. Fourth time in Q2, the Audi driver qualified in Q3 but was unable to go any further, setting the eighth and final time of the third phase of the session. Well placed on the grid, the Frenchman still thinks he could have done better.
« It was an emotional qualifying session, which went rather well, comments Alexandre Prémat. Being eighth, ultimately, is good. But I could have done better. I made two or three small mistakes in Q3. In turns 2 and 5 I lost a lot of time and was not able to take advantage of the initial performance of my tires. It's my fault. The car was absolutely perfect. Otherwise, Q4 would have been possible without too many problems »
