Audi in continuity with its drivers

Audi came close to perfection last year. In 2019, the brand with the Rings won the Drivers, Teams and Manufacturers titles. Its three structures finished in first place in the Teams ranking while René Rast celebrated his second coronation in the space of three years after finishing vice-champion last year.

The German manufacturer will keep its lines for the 2020 season where it will face only BMW after the withdrawal of R-Motorsport and Aston Martin just bought by Lawrence Stroll. René Rast will therefore be back as well as Jamie Green who also has 17 victories in the discipline. The Briton nevertheless has greater experience with 193 starts to his credit.

Mike Rockenfeller will further extend his collaboration with Audi. The winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010 has 6 victories and one coronation to its credit, all won with the same manufacturer.

Vice-champion Nico Müller will once again try to win his first title. Robin Frijns will aim for his first victory in his third season in DTM after coming close to success at the Nürburgring last year.

Loïc duval will once again complete the squad after concluding his last season with a podium during the “Dream Race” in Fuji (Japan).

Robin Frijns and Nico Müller will play within Audi Sport Teams Abt Sportsline. Loïc Duval will team up with Mike Rockenfeller at Phoenix, while Jamie Green and René Rast will remain with Team Rosberg.

The WRT Audi Sport Team will be present again by offering a chance to two rookies: the 24-year-old Emirati Ed Jones and the Swiss Fabio Scherer.

Audi drivers will take part in official testing from March 16 to 18 in Monza (Italy) before the start of the season scheduled for the weekend of April 26 in Zolder (Belgium).
