Audi celebrates its 50th DTM victory

With four cars in Q4 on Saturday, during qualifying, Audi had already won the first round. Timo Scheider can rejoice in more than one way, since his victory allows him to come within one point of the two leaders of the general classification, Gary Paffett and Mattias Ekström. The latter recognizes that this DTM season is exciting. “ It's great to be able to be at the top of the standings, with Gary, halfway through the season. Fans will be able to witness an exciting second half of the season. » But, ironically in the distribution of points, Mattias Ekström is tied with Gary Paffett, at the top of the ranking, but has not yet won in 2009. « It is certain that there is one thing that I am determined to do during the next events: win my first race of the year. »

But not all Audi drivers were happy. Hit by Mike Rockenfeller, Frenchman Alexandre Prémat was unable to finish in the points, even though he started in seventh position. “ Overall, it was a pretty good race.
