24h Nürburgring – Marc VDS in the lead after 4 hours
Party in pole at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring, the BMW Z4 GT3 from Farfus-Müller-Catsburg-Adorf leads after 4 hours of racing and more than 26 covered laps. No. 26 of Marc VDS Racing has a few tens of seconds ahead of the No. 8 Team Phoenix Audi R1 LMS of Haase-Mamerow-Rast-Winkelhock and the Porsche GT3 R n°30 from Schmitz-Huisman-Pilet-Bergmeister in the colors of the Frikadelli Racing Team.
La Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 n°2 Black Falcon of Schneider-Simonsen-Christodoulou-Buurman occupying 4th place ahead the #19 BMW of Team Schubert led by Müller-Sims-Werner-Wittmann, four different manufacturers occupy the first four places.
The Bentley experienced a difficult start to the event since the first two Continental GT3s were outside the top ten, while the #85 of Smith-Kane-Meyrick-Arnold was at the bottom of the rankings.
Despite a fire that occurred during refueling, the No. 8 Team WRT Audi R28 LMS of Mies-Sandström-Müller-Vanthoor is in 7th place behind the SLS ALMG GT3 n°5 Black Falcon of Al Faisal-Haupt-Buurman-van Lagen.
