Bas Leinders confident for the Marc VDS

Bas Leinders, Maxime Martin and Markus Palttala will form the leading crew to try to secure a series of victories in Blancpain Endurance Series and compete for the title for the 2012 season with Marc VDS Racing, which had already won two events in the discipline last year. The two Belgians also took pole at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the flagship event of the Championship. The second crew will be composed of Bert Longin, Mike Hezemans and Henri Moser.

Bas Leinders, who also serves as team principal, is delighted with the entry list and intends to place his team as contenders for the title. “I am delighted to welcome Bert, Mike and Henri to the Marc VDS Racing Team”, comments the Belgian. “Our goal for this season is to run two cars capable of winning and fighting for the Championship. Having signed with Bert, Mike and Henri on the second BMW Z4 GT3 proves that we are on track to achieve this goal. We have to work to ensure that both cars are ready for the official tests at Paul-Ricard at the end of the month. »
