Blancpain Sprint – Laurens Vanthoor snatches pole

As during the opening round of the Sprint Series at Nogaro during the Easter Cups, we found the same protagonists at the front of the stage at Brands Hatch in England, scene of the second meeting of the season. Laurens Vanthoor (Audi R8 – Belgian Club WRT) scrapped with Jeroen Bleekemolen (Lamborghini – Grasser) and Max Buhk (Mercedes SLS AMG – HTP Motorsport) and finally beat the Mercedes by 22 thousandths in a final effort. Bleekemolen will start third tomorrow for the qualifying race alongside the #8 Phoenix Racing Audi R6, driven by Marcus Winkelhock. Note the very good 6th place of Alex Zanardi with his ROAL Motorsport BMW Z4.

In the Silver Cup, David Fumanelli's ROAL Motorsport BMW Z4 will start in the lead and 10th overall. Vincent Abril and Mateusz Lisowski, winners in the Gers, will start 12th with their Audi R8 LMS from the Belgian Club Audi Team WRT.
