FIA GT – Sébastien Loeb Racing wants to stay in the race

Pole positions, victories in Race 1, it is an understatement to say that the Sébastien team Loeb Racing is one of the big players in the 2013 FIA GT Series season. Yes, but on Sunday, bad luck always gets involved, so much so that the McLaren Alsatian MP4-12C fail to triumph in the main event. The duos Sébastien Loeb-Alvaro Parente and Mike Parisy-Andreas Zuber hope that this weekend in Navarra, Spain, success will finally smile on them during the fifth and penultimate meeting of the year. . And all the more so since mathematically, the title is still playable.

“I already won a race at Navarra with a McLaren (with Hexis in Blancpain Endurance Series last year. Editor’s note), I also finished second once and fourth again (in FIA GT1, again with Hexis. Editor’s note), underlines the Portuguese Alvaro Parente. So we have the necessary package to get what we want, victory. We approach the next test without any particular stress. We know our level of competitiveness and our motivation is always the same, or even greater. We are aiming for a very good result. We will work and attack hard, as always, to achieve it. »

And the German Andreas Zuber continues: “Sébastien Loeb Racing has been very strong since the start of the season. The team is extremely well prepared and its technical choices are always good. The team shows great motivation and always does great work. In qualifying, Mike and I are still in the mix; also racing. We do not finish because of racing events, penalties and technical problems which are not attributable to the team. Elements over which we have no control, in short. But we have everything we need to succeed and we intend to demonstrate it in Navarra! »

Fast on the track, efficient in the pits (as evidenced by the second position during the last pit-stop challenge during the last meeting in Slovakia), the Soultz-Sous-Forêts team has all the arguments to shine in Spain before the big final in Baku.
